Ge Sha never stops his pursuit of artistic footsteps, finally he becomes a late bloomer at his age of 80.
Ge Sha graduated in 1951 from Central Academy of Fine Arts. His experience of art is more than six decades and he never stops working. Since 1986, he has held more than 30 art exhibitions in many places such as Japan, Korea, Russia, America, Britain, France, Germany, Italy, Denmark, Canada, Austria, Holland, Singapore, Africa, Hong Kong, Taiwan and other countries and regions.
Ge Sha’s prizewinning works are collected by numerous art galleries at home and abroad.
In 1990, his name entered “World Who’s Who” which is published by International Biography Center of Cambridge.
In 1991, his name was included in the European vision of “International Who’s Who(1990-1991)”.
In 2000, Ge Sha was given the title of “Changchun-famous Artist” by CPC Changchun Municipal Committee and Changchun City Government.
In 2001, Ge Sha awarded the title of “National Outstanding Artists” by Chinese Artists Association.
In 2008, Ge Sha won “Changbai Mountain Literal and Art Achievement Award” from Jilin Provincial People’s Government.
Ge Sha is an artist prodigy, and a thinker, painter, writer, actor in one. In addition to creations, he appeared in about 38 films, such as Air Force Squadron of the Chinese People’s Volunteers, Aolei•yilan, Guide. At thesame time, he has a lot of publications, such as “Ge Sha’s Selected Oil Paintings”,“Ge Sha’s Silk Road Print Collection”, “Ge Sha’s Black and White Print Collection”, “Ge Sha’s Excellent Oil Painting Collection”, “Ge Sha’s Paintings•Chinese Ink Painting”. Besides, he writes a famous saga novel called “Pursue Dream Happily”.
