Introduction to Changchun World Sculpture Park
Built in 2000 and opened to the public in September, 2003, Changchun World Sculpture Park was rated as a national 4-A level tourist place in 2004, voted as one of “The First National Eminent Parks” in 2007 and awarded “Sculpture Park Achievement Prize”, the only one among “New China Urban Sculpture Construction Achievement Prizes”. On September 6th, 2014 the International Union of Sculpture Parks was founded, and on December 16th in the same year, it was awarded the honor of the first Model Unit of “Creating Future Cultural Heritage”.
Located in the south of Changchun city and covering an area of 92 hectares with 11.8 hectares of water area included, collecting 453 pieces of sculpture works made by 402 artists from 216 countries and regions, Changchun World Sculpture Park is a theme park of contemporary urban sculpture, and a place with natural landscape and cultural attractions integrated together.

Introduction to Snow Sculpture Contest
At the background of the Fourth Changchun World Sculpture Conference (2014), and the First Conference of International Sculpture Park Union, which will be hold in Changchun World Sculpture Park in January11th, 2016, in order to create the snow and ice art brand of Changchun World Sculpture Park, to give full play to the park’s role of college teaching base, and to provide professional sculpture education platform for teenagers in Changchun city, we will hold the first “Sculpture Snow · Charming Changchun” International Snow Sculpture Contest, and the first “Silver Snow · Nice Age” Student Group Snow Sculpture Contest (College and middle school).

Date: December 20th –December 26th, 2015 (5 days for snow sculpture creation).

4. Specification
(1) Scope
This activity adopts such collection method as public registration. And it will select 40 entries (20 International Group works and 20 Student Group works).
(2) Participating Object
A. International Snow Sculpture Contest welcomes experts and fans all over the world.
B. Student Group Snow Sculpture Contest particularly aims at juniors in Changchun city including College students and Middle School students. Students compete the contest should be in a group which is made up of three members.
(3) Requirement
A. The snow sculpture works should be positive and healthy. The creating style is not limited.
B. Sponsor offers snow. The size of the snow sculpture in international contest is 3×3×3 cubic meter, college group is 3×3×3 cubic meter, and middle school group is 2×2×2 cubic meter.
C. You should download the application form from www.ccwsp.com. Please fill out the application form completely without leaving any blanks.
Every group should refer 1 to 3 works for reference (the format is jpg).
The snow sculpture design and application form should be sent to 792774960@qq.com in electronic files before December 10th. The list of entrants will be released in www.ccwsp.com before December 15th.
5. Attention
A. The snow sculpture design should not be delivered repeatedly.
B. If the work is not done or has a big difference with the design when the contest is over, sponsor will not offer any entry fee.
6. Competitor Treatment
(1) Competition teams are required to bring sculpture tools. The one who needs sponsor to offer tools should give reasons in the application form. Sponsor provides power for international contest teams.
(2) Prize Money
A. International Contest:
1 first prize - RMB 20000 yuan,
2 second prize - RMB 15000 yuan,
3 third prize - RMB 10000 yuan,
5 excellence award - RMB 5000 yuan,
Other groups - RMB 3000 yuan.
B. College Student Contest:
1 first prize - RMB 10000 yuan,
2 second prize - RMB 8000 yuan,
3 third prize - RMB 5000 yuan,
3 excellence award - RMB 3000 yuan,
Other groups - RMB 1500 yuan.
Middle School Contest:
1 first prize - RMB 8000 yuan,
2 second prize - RMB 6000 yuan,
3 third prize - RMB 4000 yuan,
3 excellence award - RMB 3000 yuan,
Other groups - RMB 1500 yuan.
C. The competitor, whose work is selected, will receive a participating certificate by the committee;
The winner will be awarded with certificate.
D. Fee Description
a. Sponsor provides food and accommodation for competitors. Hard berth ticket can be reimbursed.
Sponsor provides translators for foreign competitors. Foreigners’ travelling expenses can be reimbursed.
b. Sponsor simply provides lunch for students group.
7. Related Description
(1) Plagiarism and simulation is forbidden. The one who involves in plagiarism and simulation will be stripped of the contest and shall hold entire legal responsibility.
(2) Organizing Committee has the right of publication, exhibition and spreading information through network and do not have to pay fees to the creators.
(3) Organizing Committee reserves the right for the final explanation.
