哺育

《哺育》，刻画出母亲哺育孩子的情形，表现出母爱的博大精深。作品外表为古铜色，似一支火烛在安然的燃烧并放出淡淡的光，这寓意着母爱就如火焰一般燃尽了自己的生命，但却用光和热温暖了孩子；孩子安详地躺在母亲怀中吮吸着母乳，而整件作品形成的圆形又代表轮回，母亲将自己的爱传递给了孩子，而当孩子长大有自己的后代时，他们也会用同样的方式将这种爱传递给下一代；母亲的心脏与孩子的头构成了一个心的形状，这寓意着母子之间存在着一种无形的纽带，将他们紧紧的联系在一起，母亲用她心中的爱呵护着孩子茁壮成长。

杰里姆.约多维奇，男， 1980年12月6日出生于圣卢西亚。1994—1999年就读于圣玛丽学院，曾到过全国各地及其他国家进修，担任约多维奇艺术工作室分公司经理。曾从事于许多纪念碑雕刻工程，参加过法国，非洲，加拿大等国及圣卢西亚国内的各地区的艺术展览会，并多次荣获金牌。1999—2005年连续荣获圣卢西亚最佳艺术奖。主要作品有《成长》，《天佑》，《攀登》，《暴动》，《哺育》。

Nurture

The bronze sculpture depicts the scene of a mother feeding the baby and shows the greatness of mother love. On the whole, the sculpture is a shape of candlelight with the color of bronze, which implies the great mother love. It shows that the mother love is just like a burning candle, which sacrifices itself and benefits the others with the light and warmth. In addition, the mother’s hands cling together to form a circle, and the child is in mother’s arms sucking milk. It implies mother’s protection for child; meanwhile the circle means samsara, which stands for the mother love passing down permanently from one generation to another. Finally, the mother’s heart and child’s head form the shape of a heart, which means that there exists a natural bond between mother and child, and mother gives all her hearted love to the child.  

Jallim Eudovic, Male, was born’ in St.Lucia on Dec 6^th, 1980. He attended Saint Mary’s College (Secondary School) and made a further study home and abroad. He has ever been to France, Africa, Canada, Mactinigue, Gveneda and had took part in several local exhibitions on his native island St.Lucia. He had won several gold metals for sculptures in Miniville and Chastenet. He won Fine Art Awards (St.Lucia) from1999—2005. Major works include Grow, Providence, Ascend, Uprising and Nurture.
