自由之路

 

Naushad Waheed is a famous political artist.Most of his works present his revolt to the political sestem and express his desire for freedom and human right.This is the eternal theme of his life. 

友谊·和平·春天

一个男人背靠帆板,手被铁链紧锁,全身被章鱼紧紧束缚。事实上,雕塑中的男人是雕塑家自身的化身,帆板是自由的象征,章鱼代表着统治者的束缚。诺沙德创作此雕塑的目的在于批判独裁者的统治,表达了对自由的追求。同时,此作品也映射了雕塑家自己悲惨的人生经历。

诺沙德•瓦西德,1962年6月5日出生于马尔代夫共和国首都莫雷。1976年,诺沙德在老师蓓蕾的指导下,第一次接触到艺术。18岁那年,他在全国艺术展中获得年度最佳艺术奖。1982年,他毕业后,他以一名商业艺术家的身份向世人展示了他的艺术才华。1986年,诺沙德参加了第四届南亚艺术展。1987年,他以出色的表现赢得了“美国蓝丝绸艺术奖”。 1990年,他又在全国艺术竞赛中分别获得第二名和第三名。

Friendship Peace Spring

A man, against a sailboard, is being tied up tightly by a huge octopus. The man actually is just the sculptor himself, the sailboard symbolizes freedom and the octopus stands for the ruler. The sculptor wants to express his criticism of the dictator’s ruling and his desire for freedom through this work. At the same time, this sculpture tells the difficult life of the sculptor.

Naushad Waheed, male, was born in Male, the capital of the Republic of Maldives on June 15th, 1962. His first art lesson began in 1976 under the supervision of his art instructor Mr. Swam Pilley. At 18, Naushad was awarded the Best Pencil, Pen and Ink Artist of the year in the national art exhibition in his country in 1980.
