Wan Hihi

“Wan Hihi” lives on the peaceful beach of the Norfolk island. It’s so quiet and peace, with no noise of the city and nor smoke of the war fire. The only thing it has, here, is the joyful and peaceful spring of the people living in Norfolk Island. The artist brought “Wan High” to China, hoping to bring the spring of Norfolk here, to everyone in China, and to bless everything in China.

David Robert G Evans was born in Norfolk Island in 1960. He had studied in New Zealand and Australia. After graduation, he began his career as a carpenter and then as an architecture. Having won the Winston Churchill Award in 1999, he began his study journey of the ancient wood carving. One of his representative work, “Staff—Spiritual Journey”, is the accomplishment of his study in different places. It’s a very precious work representing the traditional culture.
