图腾站在一起

图腾站在一起以一对夫妇作为原型，男人和女人背靠背站在一起,象征着在人生的旅途之中相濡以沫，不离不弃。当人们走近雕塑，会在其表面看到自己的镜像，周围所有景物全部影射在雕塑的表面，多姿多彩，变化多端，如同万花筒般炫丽和神奇，这些恰似我们所经历过的生活中的风雨或是彩虹。整座雕塑刚柔并进，阴阳相合，柏利对形体富有哲理的总结加之丰富的生活阅历使得他能把人与人的关系和人与生活的关系完美的结合并表现出来，简约而不简单，给人以视觉和心灵的享受。

柏利·沃农伯格，出生于1958年8月7日，现居住于美丽的北马里亚那塞班岛，是北马里亚纳大学社会科学系和美术系讲师。曾经参加过关岛克罗尼西亚群岛展览、塞班岛艺术展览、第七届太平洋艺术节，并参与北马里亚纳历史教科书的插图设计，曾参与设计国际艺术展览并展出过自己的作品。2002年获政府颁发的人文奖， 并获得火焰树艺术节的荣誉提名，现有“兰色音符”，“飞鸟的故事”，“二号女人”“图腾男女”等优秀作品。在大自然美丽的杰作——塞班岛，他获取了诸多创作灵感与技能。在从事雕塑艺术的30多年中，他用各种材料创作出青铜，陶瓷以及水泥雕塑，通过他的双手为人们展现了他眼中的艺术和美。

Totem Standing Together

Totem Standing Together depicts a couple back against back supporting one another in their journey though life. When the viewers stand in front of this sculpture they see themselves reflected in the mirrored surface. As the viewers move around they will see the reflected colors of their surroundings move and change, so colorful and mysterious lights and shades, much like our journey through life, which may be wind or rain and also rainbow. The whole sculpture puts hardness and softness together, and consists of the masculine and feminine elements, displaying the perfect union of the relations between humans, human and nature. It is precise but not simple, and we can enjoy it both visually and mentally.

Barry Wonenberg, born on August 7, 1958, presently lives in beautiful Northern Mali Asia , Saipan Island. He is an institute lecturer in social sciences and fine arts department of North Maliyana University. He participated in the Guam Micronesian Islands Fair in 1993, Saipan Islands Arts Exhibit in 1996 , One Man Exhibit “10 Years Raku”  in 1999, the 7^th Festival of Pacific Arts (Palau)    in  2004 Elementary School Arts Curriculum Guide in 1989, and the illustration design of Northern Marianas history Textbook in 1991. He won Governor’s Humanities Award in 2002 Flame Tree Arts Festival. He has a lot of outstanding works such as “Blue Note” “Bird Stories” “Woman 2” “ Totem Man and Woman” and so on. In the beautiful Saipan Island, he gained many inspirations and skills. Engaged in statuary art in more than 30 years,  mostly in the area of ceramics, bronze casting and the cement sculpture, he has brought us the beauty and art in his eyes with his works.
